Our Guides

We have six tourism rangers who are training to be trekking guides for the national park. Although our guides are relatively new to their profession, they are enthusiastic and keen to improve their English and guiding skills. Your patience and understanding will go a long way in helping them to build their confidence and skills. While guiding tourists they will follow a code of conduct for ecotourism rangers.

We have also selected twelve community guides to accompany visitors and the ranger guides into the park on trekking tours. The community guides come from three ethnic Brao villages situated near to the park. They know the park intimately and are highly skilled in trekking and surviving in the forest. They possess a deep knowledge about the plants you can eat and use and can identify wildlife signs and sounds for you. With the translation assistance of the ranger guides they can also tell you about the significance of the forests and wildlife for the culture and way of life of local people. If you wish, your community guide can collect some interesting forest products and even catch fresh fish to add to your menu when camping in the forest.
